In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for preparing and serving delicious breakfast items, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards, and providing exceptional customer service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your food industry skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position is a day part-time position on Wednesdays and Saturdays only. Tips are included!

Duties

• Operate POS systems such as Squrriel POS to process orders accurately and efficiently
• Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and upselling additional products to enhance guest experience
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, food prep areas, dining spaces, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
• Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and ensuring the dining area remains tidy and inviting for guests
• Manage time effectively during busy breakfast hours to ensure quick service without compromising quality

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food preparation or food service roles is preferred; culinary or café experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order processing
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests of all ages
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment typical of quick service or fast food restaurants
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks during peak hours effectively
