Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, peeling, and measuring according to recipes and standards
• Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks to ensure timely meal service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety standards at all times
• Handle food items safely, following proper handling procedures to prevent contamination
• Assist with inventory checks and restocking supplies as needed to keep the kitchen well-stocked
• Follow menu plans and assist in catering or special event setups when required

Qualifications

• Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
• Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings is preferred
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation processes
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
• Basic understanding of menu planning, food service, and catering operations is a plus
