Position Summary

We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and service-focused Breakfast Server to join our food and beverage team. This role is responsible for delivering excellent guest service during breakfast by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and helping create a welcoming and enjoyable start to each guest’s day.

The Breakfast Server plays an important role in the guest experience by combining hospitality, menu knowledge, and efficient morning service in a full-service hotel environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, stays organized in a fast-paced setting, and takes pride in delivering professional service during breakfast hours.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service throughout the breakfast experience
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the point-of-sale system
  • Serve breakfast food and beverages promptly and correctly according to hotel service standards
  • Answer guest questions about breakfast menu items, specials, and beverage options
  • Monitor tables and respond quickly to guest requests, refills, and additional needs
  • Process guest payments accurately and follow all cash handling and check settlement procedures
  • Assist with opening side work, breakfast setup, and station readiness before service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and work areas
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and fellow team members to support smooth breakfast service
  • Uphold hotel and brand standards for hospitality, appearance, and professionalism

Qualifications

Required

  • Previous customer service, restaurant, hospitality, or server experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, guest-focused attitude
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food and beverage environment
  • Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Dependable attendance and strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays, dishes, and supplies

Preferred

  • Previous breakfast server, restaurant server, or hotel food and beverage experience
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
  • Experience in a full-service hotel, restaurant, or breakfast service environment
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus

  • Breakfast shift
  • Weekends and holidays as needed

Pay

  • $12.00 per hour base pay plus tips
  • Based on the last 12 months of historical earnings at this hotel, Restaurant Servers have typically earned $18.00 to $20.00 per hour in total pay, including tips
  • Actual total earnings vary by shift, business levels, season, and individual performance
