Taproom Server
We are looking for a positive, energetic and hard working person to join our team as a Taproom Server. Hours are flexible and we can accommodate people looking for a variety of different working hours. We would not require you to be available for all of these times but the full list of shift hours are as follow:

Thursday 1pm-9pm
Friday 1pm-9:45pm
Saturday 11am-9pm
Sunday 11am-9pm
Various holidays

Team members who open do not typically close, and we can accommodate a variety of shift lengths as well, depending on your availability.

Requirements:

-A positive attitude with a comfort and dedication to serving our customers and fostering a great environment.
-Strong knowledge of craft beer, beer styles, and beer sensory with the aim of being able to assist and educate our customers.
-Prior experience in the hospitality industry strongly preferred.
-Very comfortable multi-tasking and being observant and mindful in a fast-paced atmosphere
-Must be 21 or over.
-Available to work days and evening when scheduled Thursdays-Sundays as well as holidays and special events.
-Having completed the Cicerone Certified Beer Server and VA ABC's "Responsible Sellers & Servers" Program a major plus.

Responsibilities:
-Welcoming and serving customers, including filling pints, growlers and working our point of sale system.
-Fostering a friendly environment.
-Opening & closing the taproom which includes moping, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, taking out trash, cleaning taps, glasses, tables, chairs, ect.
-On the fly customer-focused cleaning including washing glassware, cleaning tables and managing taproom trash cans.
-Changing kegs and ensuring our draft system is functioning properly.
-Continuing your education about beer and our offerings.

A Note on Food Service:

We would like to fill this position with someone willing and able to serve in two very similarly related roles. This isn't a requirement for hire but we are hoping that new members added to our team will be able to work some shifts in our small pizza kitchen, taking orders, preparing food and serving food to customers. It is our plan to expand the operating capacity and hours of our in-house food service further in 2026.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
