Job Summary

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty brews, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for orders, payments, and transactions.
• Manage cash handling procedures with precision, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing inquiries professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by following proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation protocols.
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling light food items or snacks to complement beverage offerings.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and smooth café operations.

Experience

• Previous barista experience in a café or food service environment is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with coffee industry standards, serving techniques, and food safety regulations.
• Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume hours.
• Knowledge of retail math, cash handling, and basic math skills necessary for accurate transactions.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse guests.
