Reports to: Production Lead

Department: Production

Status: Non-Exempt (hourly); Full-time

Overview: Under the general direction of the Production Lead, this position is responsible for producing all popcorn and brittle products which are manually cooked over a propane stove. Key duties and qualifications will be listed below.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 Brittle Cooks are required to fully comply with facility Good Manufacturing Practices as well as all safety and quality procedures.

 Primary responsibility is to cook sugar based caramelized products manually over a stove

 Manually produce popped corn products in conjunction with stove top operation.

 Manage all ingredients to support the cooking operation.

 Maintain a clean and organized work area

 Each Brittle Cook may also be assigned other duties at the discretion of the Production Lead or the
Production Manager. These duties will include, but are not limited to the following: o Assistance in the Production and Packaging departments as a Production Team Member o Daily cleaning schedule o Inventory cycle counts o Train and perform as a backup for certain Lead functions o Co-manufacturing or co-packaging products for other companies o Specialty cleaning duties

Qualifications:

 Dedicated commitment to customer service and fostering a team environment.

 Able to understand the company procedures and direction of the upper management.

 Ability to read, understand, and follow written recipes.

 Must be able to project a professional attitude under pressure.

 Must be able to work well both independently and in a team environment.

 Recognized ability to work with a sense of urgency.

 Must be able to work overtime periodically.

 High school diploma or GED preferred.

Mental and Physical Demands

 Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

 Must be able to work in a hot environment.

 Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

 Ability to handle repetitive tasks.

Schedule

 7 am - 3 pm Monday - Friday (hours vary – 40 hours per week).

 Overtime periodically required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
