Brokerage Manager/Life and Annuities, Wealth Planning

Solicit new and existing agents for life insurance and have basic knowledge of annuity, LTC, DI, and CI business. The Brokerage Manager would be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to attract, retain, and optimize the production of new and existing agents and affiliates. This is a sales role that requires phone and webinar contact with new agent sign-ups to the InsureIO CRM platform, to convince agents to submit business to Pinney Insurance Center. Ensure all questions from agents and agencies get answered in a timely manner. Establish relationships with representatives from insurance carriers; attend trainings and meetings to stay current on product offerings in the marketplace. This is a full-time position.

  • Contact new agents as they create InsureIO accounts – welcome them to Pinney Insurance Center
  • Identify target prospects and bring them through the entire sales cycle, from initial demo to proposal, pricing negotiation, and technical implementation, all the way through generating and maintaining revenue
  • Onboard new agents, discuss commissions, contracting, and hierarchy
  • Manage relationships of the partners you create, ensuring they are receiving the education and support they need to be effective
  • Promote the company at trade shows, seminars, and other events in target niches as needed
  • Advise management of developments in target marketplaces and propose future strategic initiatives within the company
  • Develop referral sources, identify new clients, and ensure a consistent flow of revenue. Identify key decision makers and determine the services, products, and combinations that will best serve and address the client's issues and objectives
  • Transition new clients to internal team members and supervise ongoing marketing, support, and training programs to enhance opportunities for new business
  • Identify additional opportunities for cross-selling and expanding products and effectively obtaining new business
  • Lead the development of custom solutions for the client
  • Create a client-specific business plan in conjunction with colleagues to ensure growth, retention, and cross-selling goals are met
  • Ensure quality of deliverables and enforcement of critical deadlines through effective communication
  • Coordinate with other departments and team heads to ensure that quality standards are adhered to in all aspects of the business sales and service process
  • Prioritize opportunities by requirement, size, and speed
  • Add agents to the InsureIO CRM platform and track all phone calls/email correspondence within InsureIO
  • Conduct webinars for training on PIC tools (i.e., the InsureIO CRM platform, Broker Gear, quoting widgets, explain our marketing capabilities, as well as the roles of our A-team and Case Management team)
  • Answer sales support, brokerage, live chat, and InsureIO help desk phones
  • Attend carrier webinar trainings to stay current on product offerings
  • Work with and provide back up for our internal wholesaler for illustration support
  • Work with our in-house underwriter for underwriting questions
  • Assist with InsureIO feature enhancements to increase efficiencies and improve broker experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both laterally and to executive leadership
  • Operate computers, including email, browsers, in a Windows environment
  • Use contact management systems, database software, internet software, spreadsheet software, and Microsoft tools (preferred)
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); sales experience, with a demonstrated excellence at meeting sales objectives. Strong background in life insurance, annuity, and/or financial planning. Life insurance license required.
