bryt Family Collaboration Coach

(Part-Time, 20 hours/week)

Remote, with occasional in person training, symposium or school visits

The Brookline Center for Community Mental Health (The Center) is a leading nonprofit mental health organization based in Brookline, Massachusetts, dedicated to promoting mental health, emotional well-being, and equitable access to care for children, adolescents, adults, and families statewide. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the organization has served the community for more than six decades through high-quality clinical care, innovative school-based programs, and pioneering models that strengthen mental health systems locally and nationally.

The Brookline Center’s bryt National Team supports schools in planning, implementing, and continuously improving the bryt Tier 3 Intervention, a nationally recognized, school-based intensive intervention that transforms how schools support students experiencing a mental health disruption, and these students’ families. Through a collaborative partnership with schools, bryt helps create systems and practices that enable students to heal, re-engage, and thrive academically and socially.

Position Overview bryt seeks a part-time Family Collaboration Coach to advance a vision of authentic, respectful partnership with families across the bryt network of more than 250 schools. Grounded in a strengths-based, culturally responsive approach to working with caregivers, this position is guided by a commitment to accompaniment—centering listening, trust and responsiveness as the foundation for meaningful partnership between a school’s bryt team and each bryt student’s family.

The Family Collaboration Coach will work closely with school-based bryt staff across the network and bryt National Team District/School Support Specialists (D/SSS) to provide coaching, professional development, and resources that strengthen family collaboration practices.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the bryt Tier 3 intervention

  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience designing and delivering professional development
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a primarily remote environment

  • Experience in coaching or consulting roles with educators or school-based teams
  • Background in education, youth mental health, social work, student support services, or related fields
  • Residency in or near Massachusetts and ability to periodically visit Massachusetts schools
  • Experience developing asynchronous training materials (e.g., videos, toolkits)

While the work will be primarily remote, the incumbent will need to be present for in-person events in Massachusetts at least 1-2 times per year (travel expenses will be reimbursed). Positive consideration will be given to candidates who live in Massachusetts and are able to engage in in-person work more often.
