The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony represents descendants of three Great Basin Indigenous peoples: the **Numu (Northern Paiute)**, **Newe (Western Shoshone)**, and **Washeshu (Washoe)**. These communities lived in harmony with the land for generations before European contact, following seasonal cycles and forming small, efficient social groups for survival. Each group’s name means **“The People”** in their own language, reflecting their deep cultural identity and connection to the Earth. They maintained strong traditions, respected neighboring tribes, and engaged in trade throughout the region. As a Full-Time Budget Analyst at the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony, you will engage in essential administrative and technical work that supports the budgeting activities of the Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center. Your role will encompass budget preparation, review, and amendment, requiring keen attention to detail and adherence to guidelines. You will be responsible for researching, compiling, and verifying budgetary information to ensure completeness and accuracy.
This position allows for relative independence in managing complex technical matters, providing you with the opportunity to demonstrate your problem-solving skills within a collaborative environment. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of the Tribal Health Center, making a meaningful impact on the community you serve.
To excel as a Full-Time Budget Analyst at the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony, you will need a diverse skill set that encompasses both technical and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in accounting software, particularly AccuFund, along with strong capabilities in Microsoft Word and Excel, is essential for effective budget preparation and management. You should possess a solid understanding of financial compliance with OMB Circulars and grant requirements, ensuring all expenditures align with RSIC Finance policies. Excellent analytical skills will enable you to compile accurate budget projections and adjustments, while your attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining documentation and coordinating with Clinic Division Managers. Furthermore, strong communication and relationship-building skills are necessary for collaborating with tribal officials and colleagues in a diverse environment.
A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and understanding HIPAA policies is also a must for this dynamic role.
