WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Budget Analyst will assist with agency budget development, analyses of financial data, maintenance of records, and preparation of financial reports. This position coordinates with senior fiscal analysts to analyze fiscal, policy and operational issues.
In this role you will also:

Be responsible for projecting and monitoring small agency programs in collaboration with the division Administrator, division managers, and the Chief Financial Officer.

Assist in developing and maintaining agencywide budget and financial reporting tools.

Manage and coordinate budget record retention files.
-
Coordinate monthly with accounting and program staff to obtain expenditure and revenue data.

Prepare, monitor, and maintain monthly financial reports.
-
Coordinate with accounting staff to identify and reconcile discrepancies in financial data.
-
Set up and maintain the agency’s legislative bill tracking system; monitor and update the tracker and send notifications to internal bill stakeholders as needed.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Required Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public or Non-Profit Management, Finance, Accounting or a related degree (such as Public Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics or other analytical or technical degree) OR;
-
three years experience in management, policy or program analysis, or technical-level budgetary support activities.
