Job Description:
Yerba Buena is seeking a hospitality-focused Budtender to join our vibrant team. As a Budtender, you’ll be a host, guide, and product expert, ensuring every guest interaction is engaging, informative, and enjoyable. Responsibilities:

Welcome Guests: Greet customers warmly and create a friendly, inviting atmosphere.

Provide Recommendations: Ask thoughtful questions to understand guests’ preferences and offer tailored product suggestions.

Educate on Products: Share easy-to-understand information about strains, consumption methods, and effects (training provided).

Maintain Professionalism: Present a polished appearance and positive attitude that reflects our commitment to hospitality.

Process Transactions: Complete sales efficiently and accurately, ensuring guests leave with everything they need.

Follow Regulations: Adhere to New York State cannabis laws and Yerba Buena’s internal policies.

Organize the Store: Keep shelves stocked, displays appealing, and the store clean and organized.

Support the Team: Help with inventory, restocking, and assisting teammates as needed.

Build Customer Relationships: Create a positive experience that encourages repeat visits and long-term loyalty.

Qualifications:

Must be 21 years or older.

Previous experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or the cannabis industry preferred.

Passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, approachable personality.

Comfortable educating guests on cannabis products, their effects and benefits (training provided). Strong knowledge of cannabis products and their effects preferred, and a willingness to learn more is essential

Dependable, team-oriented, and solution-focused.

Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system with precision.

Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Standing and walking for long periods of time.

Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level.
