What Is Build-a-Plumber?
It’s a fun name for our plumbing training program! And it’s not just training—when you pass the class, we’ll hire you full-time as an official Morris-Jenkins plumber at our Greenville location.
Our next class starts on April 27, 2026!
We’ll pay you during training ($18/hr with a raise when you graduate). After all, we want you to focus on learning and becoming the best plumber possible, not worrying about how you’ll pay your bills.
Training is at our state-of-the-art training facility in Charlotte, NC. On training days, we’ll include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You’ll also have the choice between either a free hotel room for training days OR mileage reimbursement to and from training.
Our Build-a-Plumber trainees come from all kinds of backgrounds—retail workers, servers, massage therapists, students, insurance adjustors… you name it! Your past doesn’t have to dictate what you become in your future.
Responsibilities:
Your Role:
During training, you’ll:

Learn from some of the top plumbers around in a classroom setting

Practice your new skills in our state-of-the-art plumbing training center

Train with experienced plumbers on actual service calls

Test your skills and knowledge as you go
Once you graduate class, you’ll:

Become a full-time Drain Technician!

Help families with their clogs and slow drains
-
Fix and replace leaky faucets, shower heads, and garbage disposals

Continue to learn and grow as a plumber (we have lots of opportunities for you to advance!)
