The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of building systems across a portfolio of medical office and healthcare facilities. This role supports day-to-day maintenance, preventative programs, and repair efforts across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems critical to healthcare environments. The position requires a hands-on approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to respond to both routine and emergency service needs. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance, operational reliability, and a high standard of care within medical facilities.
Job Description

Perform routine building inspections and complete maintenance and repair work across medical office and healthcare facility systems.

Operate and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety equipment critical to healthcare environments.

Execute preventative maintenance programs and assist with project coordination and oversight.

Respond to work orders, service requests, and emergency situations in a timely manner.

Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials needed for facility operations.

Support compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and required documentation/reporting.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical training or some college preferred.

3–5+ years of experience in building maintenance, preferably within medical office or healthcare facilities.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work with tenants, vendors, and internal teams.

Working knowledge of building systems, maintenance software (CMMS), and Microsoft Office tools.

Valid driver’s license required; certifications such as EPA/CFC or OSHA are preferred.
