Building Inspector

**1. Perform field inspections of industrial, commersial and residential buildings during various stages of construction and remodeling to assure compliance with applicable codes and regulations of the City, County, State and Federal agencies.**

**2. Submit reports detailing items of non-compliance to builders for correction; issuing stop work orders when neccessary.**

**3. Answer question of developers, contractors, business and homeowners, or citizens regarding building regulations; provide code information to individuals planning to build building.**

**4. Provide assistance to contractors, builders, designers, and architects in the development of alternative ideas to meet code and ordinance requirements.**

**5.Perform complex inspection duties in several trade specialties such as plumbing, electrical and mechanical, structural and finish trade areas.**

• 6. Perform field reviews of plans and specifications.

Salary: $1656.66 bi-weekly
