Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer

The Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer works independently under the supervision of the Building Official. The Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for building inspections, code inspections, community education and customer services. The Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for permitting, conducting plan reviews, and inspecting construction projects for conformance with applicable code requirements, safe construction practices and other regulations, codes or ordinances relating to the safety, health, and welfare of the public. The Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer maintains extensive knowledge in inspection, plan review, permitting, related technologies, and knowledge of applicable construction regulations and codes.
