We are looking for an experienced Building Materials Counter Staff to handle customer inquiries, prepare quotations, and process sales at the counter. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 1 year GCC experience in a building materials trading environment and strong product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend walk-in customers and understand their material requirements
- Provide accurate product information, pricing, and availability
- Prepare quotations, delivery notes, and invoices
- Coordinate with store/warehouse for material availability and dispatch
- Maintain counter stock display and ensure proper labeling
- Build good relationships with contractors, suppliers, and regular customers
- Follow company policies, pricing guidelines, and safety procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of GCC experience in building materials trading (mandatory)
- Knowledge of building materials such as cement, steel, blocks, tiles, sanitary ware, electrical/plumbing items, etc.
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple customers
- Team player with a customer-focused attitude
