As a Building Services Technician at GRADD, you play a vital role in maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of agency facilities. Your work ensures that staff, partners, and community members experience a professional, welcoming, and well-maintained environment every day.
Key Responsibilities Include
Facility Cleaning & Maintenance
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures
- Restock restroom and facility supplies such as soap, paper towels, and tissue
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces throughout the building
- Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, and walls
Waste Management & Grounds Maintenance
- Collect and dispose of trash from offices, common areas, and outdoor receptacles
- Transport waste to designated disposal areas in a timely and safe manner
- Maintain exterior areas including walkways, entrances, and courtyards
- Remove debris, sweep outdoor areas, and clear cobwebs
Building Operations & Minor Repairs
- Perform routine minor maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting doors, and fixing minor plumbing issues
- Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance needs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or structural repairs
- Assist with preventative maintenance tasks to ensure building functionality
Safety & Security
- Ensure buildings are secured at the end of the day, including locking doors and checking equipment
- Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols
Inventory & Supply Management
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies
- Requisition and organizing supplies to ensure availability
- Maintain cleaning equipment in proper working condition
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance roles preferred
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and cleaning procedures
Skills & Strengths

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
