Position: Part-Time Paraprofessional (Classroom/Playground) – Building Substitute
Location: Harrisburg, PA 17109
Compensation: $100 per day
Schedule: Part-Time

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Paraprofessional to support both classroom and playground supervision , with flexibility to serve as a Building Substitute as needed. This position plays a critical role in supporting the educational and safety needs of students in both elementary and middle school settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret instructions

• Strong communication skills (oral and written)

• Experience working with elementary and middle school students

• Firm and consistent approach to discipline

• Flexible and responsive to the diverse needs of the school

• Willingness to collaborate with other staff members

• Experience operating office machines (preferred)

• Strong record of satisfactory performance and attendance

• First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain it)

• Experience working with computers (preferred)

• PA Teacher Certification (preferred)

Job Expectations:

• Assist in the classroom, main office, or on the playground as needed

• Support teachers with tasks such as grading papers, working with small groups, assisting with classroom projects, typing, duplicating materials, etc.

• Monitor student conduct on the playground during recess, in all types of weather

• Serve as the Building Substitute when needed
