Job Summary

As a Business Analyst in the Healthcare domain, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and improving business processes and systems that support healthcare operations and technology solutions. Your role involves understanding complex healthcare workflows, identifying customer and regulatory requirements, and delivering effective, technology-driven business solutions that enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze current healthcare business processes and define future-state solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements across healthcare systems such as EHR, EMR, claims management, HL7, and FHIR-based integrations.
  • Work closely with engineering, product management, and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements.
  • Conduct detailed research to assess existing workflows and recommend improvements to optimize healthcare data flow and compliance.
  • Develop comprehensive project artifacts including BRD (Business Requirement Document), FRD (Functional Requirement Document), and user stories using tools like JIRA or Confluence.
  • Facilitate requirement workshops, stakeholder interviews, and sprint ceremonies to ensure continuous alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify process gaps and propose technology solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Support data mapping and analysis activities related to healthcare data exchange standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare data security and privacy regulations.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of Healthcare IT systems, workflows, and terminologies.
  • Experience in HL7, FHIR, EDI, claims processing, or clinical data management.
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and other Agile project tools.
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
