Role Description

This full-time on-site role, located in Dubai, requires a Bullion Accountant to manage the financial records and transactions related to gold, silver, and other precious metals trading. Responsibilities include tracking and reconciling bullion accounts, preparing financial reports, updating inventory records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of financial accounting and reporting.
• Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to financial reporting in commodity trading
• Conduct detailed inventory management and valuation of precious metals and Jewellery
• Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Handle tax planning and compliance.
• Provide financial guidance and support to other departments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally within the gold and jewellery industry.

Strong knowledge of inventory management and valuation of precious metals and jewellery.

Familiarity with relevant accounting software and SAP/ERP systems.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Experience with customs and import/export regulations related to precious metals
