Bullion Store Sales Representative

Key Responsibilities
- Client Management and Sales: Greet and assist customers in the store, understand their investment goals, and recommend appropriate bullion products (coins, bars, etc.).
- Transaction Execution: Execute customer buy and sell orders accurately, process payments using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system, and handle cash, credit, and checks securely.
- Market Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global precious metals market trends, pricing ("gold fixing" process), and use this knowledge to provide expert advice to clients.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all transactions adhere to strict regulatory standards, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
- Inventory Management: Assist with managing inventory, including daily opening and closing stock counts, organizing displays, and ensuring the safety and security of high-value merchandise.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with a portfolio of clients (including high-net-worth individuals and institutions) to encourage repeat business and generate new leads.
- Sales Reporting: Track personal sales performance against targets and prepare regular reports for management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in sales, preferably within the precious metals, luxury goods, or financial services industry.
- Product Knowledge: A strong understanding of various precious metals products and the factors influencing their value.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills to build trust and rapport with a diverse clientele.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for accurately processing high-value transactions and managing inventory.
- Financial Acumen: Basic math skills and an understanding of financial markets or commodities trading are beneficial.
- Integrity: A high level of integrity and trustworthiness when handling sensitive client information and valuable assets.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with POS systems, CRM software, and potentially trading platforms.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typical, with some employers preferring a degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
