The Burger/Sandwich Maker is responsible for preparing, cooking, and assembling burgers, sandwiches, and other menu items according to the restaurants recipes and customer preferences. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Food Preparation:

- Prepare and cook burger patties, ensuring they are cooked to the correct temperature and quality standards.

- Slice, chop, and prepare ingredients such as meats, cheeses, vegetables, and spreads for sandwiches and burgers.

- Assemble burgers and sandwiches according to the restaurants recipes and customer preferences, including adding toppings, sauces, and condiments.

2. Cooking and Grilling:

- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, toasters, and food processors.

- Ensure all food items are prepared and cooked to the highest quality standards.

3. Customer Service:

- Interact with customers to take orders, answer questions, and provide recommendations.

- Handle special requests or custom orders with care and attention.

4. Cleanliness and Organization:

- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation at all times.

- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handling of ingredients and equipment.

- Assist in cleaning tasks, such as washing utensils, wiping surfaces, and disposing of waste.

5. Team Collaboration:

- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely order preparation and delivery.

- Communicate effectively with other staff to ensure smooth operations.

6. Inventory Management:

- Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages to the supervisor.

- Assist in restocking supplies as needed.

7. Additional Duties:

- Assist in other kitchen tasks as needed, such as preparing sides, beverages, or desserts.

- Follow all restaurant policies and procedures.

Qualifications

-Experience:

- Previous experience in a kitchen, fast-food, or deli environment is required.

- Skills:

- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand for long periods and handle kitchen equipment.

- Ability to lift and carry supplies (up to 25 lbs).

- Personal Attributes:

- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

- Team player with a strong work ethic.

- Fast-paced kitchen or food service environment.
