Bus Drivers Needed

Want to work for a fun company and enjoy the outdoors this summer! A Wanderlust Adventure is seeking full and part time drivers to shuttle our guests in the Poudre Canyon. Wanderlust has been offering fantastic whitewater rafting trips for over 40 years! We are a small, family owned outfitter who has a reputation for professionalism and has a staff that loves working for this company. Most of our staff return year after year because of our laid back atmosphere and because they love working with each other.

Our season starts on May 15th and runs through Labor Day. Most of our bus drivers work for Poudre School District so we are flexible with them starting in early June when school has let out and allowing them to return to the School District in early August when they have to start back up. There is opportunity for more work for a driver that does not work for the School District.

We require that applicants for this position already have a Class B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement. We also prefer candidates with a clean driving record who have experience driving buses or large vehicles.

We spend lots of time training our drivers so that they are comfortable with our operation before shuttling our guests. Our drivers generally shuttle two trips per day once we get busy. A typical day starts at 9:00am and ends around 6:00pm. There is usually an hour lunch break between trips. We shuttle our guests from Vern's Restaurant in Laporte, Colorado up the Poudre Canyon approximately 21 to 24 miles and back to the restaurant. The scenery in the Poudre Canyon is amazing and there is a lot of down time to relax while waiting for the rafts to finish their trip. If you like to soak up the sun in a beautiful canyon this is the job for you!

We are flexible with schedules and time off if needed. Our season is short and busy though so we prefer candidates who do not need lots of time off. We do work with our staff when they need a week off or certain weekends or days off though. That is a big reason our staff return year after year. We encourage our drivers to go rafting with us, especially in the early part of the season when the whitewater is great and we are less busy. They are allowed to take their family rafting for free too!
