Job Title: Bus Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Bus Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician with strong expertise in bus maintenance, issue diagnosis, and compliance processes including Fitness Check (FC) preparation and certification. The candidate must be capable of analyzing bus issues, identifying hardware and software faults, and maintaining accurate maintenance and statutory records.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of buses.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in buses.
• Identify and resolve hardware and software-related faults in bus systems (ECU, sensors, control modules, etc.).
• Prepare buses for Fitness Check (FC) inspections as per regulatory standards.
• Carry out all required repairs, adjustments, and inspections before FC submission.
• Coordinate and ensure successful completion of Fitness Certification processes.
• Maintain detailed service records, FC documents, inspection reports, and compliance logs.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and transport authority regulations.
• Minimize vehicle downtime through effective troubleshooting and repair planning.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in Automobile Engineering / Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Bus Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and bus electrical systems.
• Experience preparing vehicles for Fitness Check (FC) inspections.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of transport authority compliance requirements.
