Bus Run/ Prek Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for children. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curricula that cater to the diverse needs of students, while promoting their overall development and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
• Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful atmosphere for all students.
• Utilize various teaching methods, including hands-on activities, to enhance literacy education, math skills, and physical education.
• Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support each child's individual learning needs.
• Provide support for special education students and those requiring early intervention services.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting is essential.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
• Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning techniques.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Experience in Montessori or private school settings is a plus.
• Ability to provide tutoring support in various subjects including literacy and math.
• Certification or training in special education or early intervention is highly desirable. We welcome candidates who are enthusiastic about making a positive impact on young learners' lives through innovative teaching practices and compassionate care.
• Able to train on how to drive the bus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
