Business Administrator – (Moab, UT)
Lead a legendary outfitter into its next era

We are a multi-generational guiding company rooted in Moab since the 1950s, founded by a family deeply tied to the region’s outdoor and conservation history. We operate whitewater rafting, canyoneering, hiking, and custom backcountry experiences in some of the most iconic landscapes in the American Southwest.

We are now seeking a Business Administrator to lead Navtec into its next chapter—modernizing operations, elevating guest experience, and building a high-performing team while honoring the soul of a legacy brand.

This is not a “keep the lights on” role. It’s an opportunity to build.

The Role

As Business Administrator, you will Steward the business’s daily function, people, and systems:

  • Lead all day-to-day operations across river, land, and office teams
  • Build, manage, and mentor a cohesive staff culture
  • Oversee budgeting, payroll, cash flow, and financial reporting
  • Implement systems for accountability, communication, and execution
  • Elevate the guest experience from “good” to unforgettable
  • Partner directly with ownership on strategy, growth, and brand evolution
  • Serve as the internal heartbeat and external face of Navtec in Moab

You’ll have autonomy, trust, and real influence over the direction of the company.

Who You Are

  • A natural leader who thrives in ambiguity and takes ownership
  • Highly organized, operationally sharp, and systems-minded
  • Comfortable managing people, money, and moving parts
  • Grounded, emotionally intelligent, and steady under pressure
  • Deeply aligned with outdoor culture, stewardship, and community
  • Excited by the challenge of rebuilding and elevating a legacy business
  • Driven to have positive impact on the community

Experience in outfitting, hospitality, adventure travel, or small-business operations is ideal—but mindset and leadership matter more than industry pedigree.

Why This Role Is Special

  • Rare chance to lead a historic Moab outfitter
  • Direct access to ownership and real strategic influence
  • Opportunity to shape culture, systems, and brand from the ground up
  • Work in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world
  • Build something that lasts

This is a role for someone who wants more than a job—someone who wants to leave a mark.

Location: Moab, Utah
Full-time, year-round leadership role
Competitive compensation based on experience

Apply with a brief introduction and resume. Tell us not just what you’ve done—but what you want to build.
