411 Music Group is a creative music house specializing in music solutions for all types of media. 411 provides synchronization licensing, custom music, score, production music, publishing, administration, and digital distribution for music rights holders. Our team works closely with global clients in film, television, advertising, gaming, brands, publishers, writers, composers, and producers. Our catalog features indie artists, archival music, production music, covers, and score.

Your Role

411 Music Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Affairs Manager or Coordinator to support our licensing and publishing business. This role will focus on drafting, negotiating, issuing, and tracking agreements, while also managing invoicing and collections processes across clients, catalogs, composers, and business partners.

This position will begin as a part-time contractor role with a consistent 3-day-per-week schedule. Based on performance and company needs, there is potential to transition into a full-time position within 4–6 months. You will play a key role in ensuring deals move efficiently from negotiation through execution and payment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with business affairs experience in music, media, entertainment, or licensing who also has strong operational and financial instincts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, revise, send, and track a wide range of agreements including sync/master use licenses, blanket agreements, composer agreements, publishing/admin agreements, NDAs, vendor agreements, and catalog deals.
  • Coordinate contract approvals, signatures, and execution through Box Sign.
  • Create and issue invoices to clients, partners, catalogs, and licensees.
  • Send payments to composers, catalogs, and artists via Curve and Wise.
  • Track receivables and follow up on outstanding payments in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain organized digital contract files, templates, deal memos, and rights documentation.
  • Support internal teams with deal terms, usage rights, approvals, and contract status updates.
  • Work closely with finance to reconcile payments, invoices, and revenue records.
  • Assist with onboarding new clients, composers, and catalogs.
  • Improve workflows and systems to increase efficiency across contracts and billing.
  • Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance across all agreements and records.

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience in Business Affairs, Licensing Administration, Contracts, Operations, or Music Industry Administration.
  • Experience drafting and processing agreements in music, media, entertainment, or licensing.
  • Invoice and payment experience.
  • Background in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance preferred.
  • Understanding of music rights, publishing, sync licensing, or royalties is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
  • Excellent written communication and professional client-facing skills.

Systems & Software

Experience with the following is strongly preferred:

  • Box / Box Sign
  • QuickBooks Online
  • Stripe
  • Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
  • CRM and cloud-based workflow systems
  • Experience with Curve Royalty System is a bonus
