- Preparing FSDs (Functional Specification Documents)/Business Requirement Documents.
- Assist the sales team with preparing industry-standard proposals for submission to customers
- The investigation, evaluation, and identification of key success factors to meet prospects’ needs and assist the sales team in converting opportunities into sales
Job Description
- Responsible for the timely and competent analysis of business goals, objectives, and needs of the customers
- Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the needs of the customer from the business perspective
- Serve as a liaison between the business user groups and the project team by assisting the customer in identifying, understanding, and documenting their business needs
- Works closely with clients and with other system groups to capture business requirements and see them through the implementation
- Interview business users to gather business wants and needs and translate them into business and/or technical requirements
- Work with the project team to map existing processes, identify gaps and propose solutions
- Assist and guide customers on gap analysis and define customizations where needed in collaboration with the customer and technical team
- Advise customers on best practices and make recommendations and changes to improve and support business systems and activities.
- Create scope as well as functional and technical specification documents as part of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
- Verify that the technical solution meets the customer's business requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Interact with the business users to define solutions and elaborate requirements
- Detail requirements in use cases and related artifacts.
- Participate in the development of artifacts such as Use Case Models, Use Cases, Activity Diagrams (or Workflow Models), and Supplemental Specifications.
- Collaborate with system analysts, software engineers/ architects, and the customer to develop both high-level and detailed application models that meet the business needs
- Translate the business needs into system requirements, communicating with the business on a non-technical level, and with the System Analyst on a more technical level.
- Work with technical resources to ensure accurate translation of specifications into a workable application

- Identify and resolve business issues
- Utilize systems and data to resolve business issues most effectively and productively.
- Create user acceptance test plans and acceptance criteria working with the business sponsor
- Work with business users on a day-to-day basis.
- Provide information to support business decisions and develop business-critical measurements
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
- Provide user training. Play a key role in the training of customer and technical support personnel.
- Document Change and Enhancement requests related to signed-off base business requirements
Experience
- 8-10 years of experience in Business Analysis
- Interact with current and potential customers to understand and gather their Business and Technical requirements.
- Proven experience as a business systems analyst in a large company working on complex and mission-critical systems
- Experience developing business processes and recommending solutions
- Experience in business and systems analysis
- Business requirements gathering and documentation writing experience.
- Experience with using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Rational Suite (Requisite Pro, ClearQuest, ClearCase); Knowledge of Rational Unified Process (RUP)
- Experience creating UML Use Case Diagrams
- Experience with Training and Technical writing
- Experience in leading JAD (Joint Application Development) sessions
- Experience with any AI/GenAI tools for user story generation, Mermaid diagrams
- Experience in conducting demos, workshops with business and technical stakeholders
