Job Summary:

We are seeking a high-impact Business Analyst who goes beyond reporting to actively drive business outcomes within the Collection Strategy function. This role will partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to leverage data for improving performance, optimizing strategy, and enabling informed decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical rigor with sharp business acumen and a demonstrated ability to translate insights into measurable strategic and operational impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with business leaders and key stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into data-driven strategies that directly influence decision-making and outcomes.
• Take ownership of designing, developing, and governing key business metrics, MIS reports, dashboards, and analytical frameworks that support strategic business decisions.
• Lead proactive deep-dive analyses to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance gaps, providing actionable insights to senior leadership for driving business performance.
• Recommend new metrics, data-driven strategies, and analytical techniques to enhance operational performance, improve quality, and boost productivity across the business.
• Analyze performance across in-house and third-party channels, focusing on key efficiency and effectiveness metrics to optimize business outcomes.
• Develop early-warning indicators and performance monitoring mechanisms that provide actionable insights for timely corrective actions, driving continuous improvement.
• Prepare high-quality analytical reports and presentations that clearly communicate data-driven insights to senior management, business reviews, and Board-level discussions, influencing key business decisions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Collections, Risk, Credit, Technology, Product, Operations, and Business teams to implement data-driven initiatives that directly improve business operations and outcomes.
• Design and deploy interactive dashboards to track employee productivity and monitor key operational KPIs that align with business goals.
• Use advanced Excel, SQL, and PowerPoint to support data analysis, reporting, and executive communication, ensuring that insights directly contribute to strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field, advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in a Business Analyst, business facing role powered by data analytics in start-ups.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with taking responsibility for business decisions.
• Has taken business responsibility and has contributed to strategy based on data which should have led to actionable outcomes.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros), SQL, and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools is a plus ( we are not looking for purely data/analytics profiles, but rather candidates who have leveraged data for owning business outcomes).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions at senior levels.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and manage multiple priorities.
