Business Analyst

Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates the need for a full-time Business Analyst to support the PL and CTE Divisions. Under the direct supervision of the School Business Administrator, the Business Analyst will:

• Partner with PL Leaders and Director of CTE to provide effective and uniform oversight of all aspects of the budgeting and financial aspects of the division.
• Collaborate with the Business Office, Human Resources and other internal departments to create uniform systems, processes and procedures to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of all business functions relating to the PL and CTE Divisions.
• Analyze financial trends and provide direction and support in contracts, pricing structures, billing, expense and revenue forecasting, etc. to support continued growth and expansion of the division.
• Assist with the development and management of program budgets.
• Reconcile revenues and expenditures to assure that invoices are generated when earned and bills are processed timely.
• Provide monthly profit & loss analysis to inform administration of the current financial status of the programs being analyzed.
• Provide support in business operations to the various program staff.
• Other related duties may be assigned

This position will require the use of sound independent judgment and the ability to initiate action within established policies and procedures.

Candidates must possess a valid New York State Education Department issued School District Business Leader or School Business Administrator certificate.

Candidates must be highly organized, flexible, and have excellent financial and technology/computer skills as well as effective communication and problem-solving skills.
