Business Analyst

Marquis Software Development is the industry leader in Corrections software. As a Business Analyst you will act as a bridge between our clients’ business objectives and Marquis’ technical solutions, ensuring that IT projects deliver an excellent solution to our clients’ needs. To achieve this you will analyze requirements, design solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, systems, software, and recommending solutions to your team to meet the final product expectations of our clients. This is a full-time position, located on-site at Marquis headquarters in Tallahassee, FL.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with clients, analysts, developers and management to identify and resolve complex software and business problems
• Demonstrate strong oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with business partners and internal team members 
• Work with clients to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements, translating them into clear, actionable plans 
• Assist in preparing detailed business analysis documents, including requirements specifications, process maps, and functional designs 
• Provide status information back to the project manager for each client
• Strong multi-tasking, organization and follow-up skills

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing or related field; or high school diploma/equivalent and six years of related experience
• Work on-site in Tallahassee, FL 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience working in a technical work environment 
• Experience working with the Public Safety sector (Corrections, Law Enforcement)
