Business Analyst -# 26023

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a financial services organization, is seeking a skilled Business Analyst. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining reporting solutions, analyzing business performance trends, and supporting data-driven decision-making across collections and remarketing functions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical reporting solutions and drive continuous improvement in reporting processes.

Job Duties

• Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports to support business operations
• Analyze business results to identify trends, anomalies, and potential root causes
• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure report accuracy and integrity
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including metrics, filters, and data structures
• Troubleshoot and resolve reporting defects and data discrepancies
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting needs and prioritize deliverables
• Automate manual reporting processes using BI and data tools
• Support datamart testing, validation, and ongoing optimization efforts

Skills Required:

• Must have 3+ years in a Business Analyst role working with SQL for data querying and report development
• Hands-on experience with reporting tools such as Cognos, Power BI, or Tableau
• Experience using SAS or similar data analysis tools
• Experience with MS Access or comparable database tools
• Ability to create and optimize queries across multiple data sources
• Experience with data validation, testing, and quality assurance processes
• Experience supporting collections, recovery, or financial services operations
• Familiarity with datamart structures and data modeling concepts
• Experience automating reports and improving runtime efficiency
• Exposure to tools such as SQL Workbench or similar environments
• Experience with Python for data analysis or automation
• Knowledge of KPI tracking and operational performance metrics
