Business Analyst – ASBA

Educational Qualification

  • MCA / BCA / BE / MBA / BAFBachelor’s Degree in a relevant field

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst with 5 to 7 years of total experience, including a minimum of 3 years of operational experience in managing IPO/ rights issues/domain. The candidate should have a solid understanding of ASBA processes, IPO application flows, and regulatory requirements. The role involves requirement gathering, BRD/FSD preparation, stakeholder management, and ensuring seamless coordination between business and technical teams.

Professional Certification

  • Business Analyst Certification (Preferred)

Domain Expertise

  • Mandatory experience in ASBA (Applications Supported by Blocked Amount/ IPO)

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and
    Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure requirement clarity and implementation accuracy.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Create and execute functional test scenarios and cases.
  • Conduct product walkthroughs and training sessions for internal teams and clients.
  • Support UAT and post-production validation.

Essential Skills

  • Strong domain knowledge of ASBA processes and SEBI regulations related to IPO applications.
  • Experience in preparing BRD and FSD documents.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Sound understanding of SDLC and business analysis workflows.
  • Strong in functional testing and scenario creation.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Basic understanding of Oracle for querying and data checks.
  • Business Analyst certification will be an added advantage.

  • Strong analytical and logical thinking abilities.
  • Clear and concise communication (written and verbal).
  • Good interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Securities Operations and Risk Management Certification– NISM
  • SEBI Investor Certification Examination– NISM)
  • NISM Series – II RTA, Mutual Fund– NISM
  • Basic Program on IPO Procedures and Processes– BSE
