Job Description:

Required Technical Skill :

1) Requirement Gathering & Analysis

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand objectives, pain points, and desired outcomes.
• Elicit, analyze, validate, and document requirements (BRD/FRD/User Stories).
• Translate business needs into functional specifications , acceptance criteria, and solution scope.

2) Banking Domain & Process Expertise

• Map and optimize processes across banking functions such as:
• Account opening/KYC, onboarding
• Payments (NEFT/RTGS/UPI/SWIFT), reconciliation
• Loans & credit lifecycle
• Cards & disputes
• Customer servicing & digital channels
• Risk, AML, compliance, regulatory reporting
• Identify gaps, controls, and improvements aligned to regulatory and operational needs.

3) Stakeholder Management

• Act as a bridge between business, product owners, technology, data teams, and QA.
• Facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, and requirement sign-off sessions.
• Manage change requests and ensure scope alignment.

4) Documentation & Communication

• Create and maintain key documents:
• BRD/FRD, process flows (BPMN), use cases
• Data mapping documents, business rules, decision tables
• UAT plans, test scenarios, defect triage notes
• Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

5) Testing & Delivery Support

• Support QA/UAT by defining test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate UAT execution, track defects, and ensure resolution.
• Support production rollout, hyper care, and continuous improvement.

6) Data & Reporting (Nice-to-have, depending on role)

• Work with data/BI teams to define reporting requirements and KPI frameworks.
• Validate data quality rules and support reconciliation, lineage, and controls.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have

• Years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Banking domain (Retail/Corporate/Payments/Lending etc.).
• Strong experience in requirements elicitation , functional analysis, and stakeholder management.
• Hands-on expertise in BRD/FRD/User Stories , process flows, and business rules.
• Good understanding of banking concepts:
• KYC/AML , onboarding, payments, lending lifecycle, account servicing, risk & compliance
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments; familiarity with Jira/Confluence/Azure DevOps.
• Exposure to data analysis (SQL basics), reporting, dashboards, or analytics use cases.
• Knowledge of regulatory areas (examples: AML, FATCA/CRS, GDPR, RBI guidelines—based on region/project).
• Exposure to core banking systems, digital banking platforms, or payment gateways.

Tools & Methodologies

• Requirement tools: Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Visio/Lucid chart
• Documentation: MS Office, SharePoint
• Process modeling: BPMN, flowcharts, UML (use case/activity diagrams)
• Testing support: UAT planning, defect management, test case design
