About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Business Analysts to join our team focused on the Account Reference Data domain. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong analytical skills, financial services experience, and proficiency in SQL and/or Python. You will play a key role in data analysis, requirement gathering, and supporting data quality initiatives critical to client account management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements related to client account reference data
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including technology, operations, compliance, and business stakeholders
  • Use SQL and/or Python to analyze data, perform reconciliations, and support reporting
  • Ensure compliance with global and regional regulatory data requirements
  • Support data enrichment, cleansing, and transformation efforts
  • Contribute to ongoing data quality and governance initiatives
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable solutions for the technology teams


Key Skills & Requirements:

  • 3–10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services domain
  • Strong command of SQL and/or Python for data analysis
  • Demonstrated experience working with account reference data , including:
  • Client ID / Account Numbers
  • Legal Entity Names and Identifiers (LEI)
  • Contact Information and KYC/AML Data
  • Regulatory Classifications (FATCA, MiFID, etc.)
  • BIC / SWIFT, IFSC, Branch Codes, and Clearing Codes
  • Account Types (Operating, Custodial, Investment, etc.)
  • Ownership Structures and Fund Relationships
  • Custodian and Clearing Broker Information
  • Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI)
  • Country and Currency Codes
  • Time Zones, Calendar Data (Business Days, Holidays)
  • Risk Classifications and Collateral Setup Data


Interview Focus Areas

During the interview process, candidates will be evaluated on:

  • Functional knowledge of account reference data and its role in financial systems
  • Ability to articulate specific data elements handled in past roles
  • Technical proficiency in SQL and/or Python
  • Communication skills, stakeholder management, and problem-solving ability
