Founded in 1978, Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A. (Formosa Plastics) is a growing, vertically-integrated supplier of plastic resins and petrochemicals. Formosa Plastics offers a full line of polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene and polypropylene resins, caustic soda and other petrochemicals that deliver the consistency, performance and quality that customers demand. We market our polypropylene and polyethylene resins under the Formolene® tradename; we market our suspension PVC and specialty (dispersion) PVC resins under the Formolon® tradename. Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
DUTIES:- Conduct comprehensive credit reviews by compiling, cleaning, and analyzing datasets in Excel and SQL, including payment histories, account transactions, and other financial data to assess credit risk.
- Create interactive financial and performance dashboards in Tableau and Excel to track key credit indicators, outstanding balances, and operational KPIs, providing data-driven actionable insights for management decision-making.
- Perform variance and trend analysis on revenue streams and account activities to detect anomalies, evaluate creditworthiness, and recommend appropriate credit lines.
- Conduct detailed analysis of customer financial statements, cash flow, and credit reports to assess repayment capacity and recommend appropriate credit terms.
- Monitor portfolio credit exposure and prepare periodic risk assessment reports, highlighting potential problem accounts and recommending actions to mitigate credit risk.
- Incorporate supplier references, external credit reports, and historical payment data into credit risk assessments, applying sound judgment to recommend credit limits in line with company policies.
- Design and implement automated reporting templates for recurring financial and operational credit reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established procedures.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics
- Two (2) years of experience in data analysis
- Must have knowledge of Python, SQL, machine learning, Tableau, VBA macros, Power Query, variance and trend analysis, data warehousing, data visualization, predictive modelling, Dimensionality Reduction, Cluster Analysis; K-Means, Time Series, Regression and Classification, financial concepts, analyzing accounting data.
