Compensation: $85,000-100,000 per year

This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends on applicants credentials.

Job Summary

The Business Analyst - ERP serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, Finance, and IT, ensuring the effective use, optimization, and ongoing support of the Trimble Viewpoint Vista ERP system. This role partners closely with finance, operations, project management, payroll, and accounting teams to translate business needs into system solutions that improve efficiency, data integrity, and reporting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

ERP SupportOptimization

  • Serve as the primary functional analyst for Trimble Viewpoint Vista, supporting modules such as Job Cost, General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Payroll, Equipment Management, and Project Management.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend system enhancements, configurations, or workflow improvements.
  • Configure Vista screens, forms, security, workflows, and user permissions.
  • Support system upgrades, patches, and new module implementations.
  • Serve as an advisor and/or project manager for new system integrations

Business AnalysisRequirements

  • Elicit, document, and validate business requirements through stakeholder interviews and process reviews.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Evaluate change requests and assess impacts across Vista modules and integrated systems.

ReportsData

  • Develop and maintain reports using Vista Inquiry, Crystal Reports, and SQL-based tools.
  • Partner with stakeholders to improve data accuracy and consistency.
  • Support financial and operational reporting needs, including month-end and year-end close.

User SupportEnablement

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Trimble users and other relevant programs.
  • Provide Tier 2 support and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Create user documentation and training materials.
  • Conduct user training and support adoption of new features.

IntegrationCollaboration

  • Collaborate with IT, vendors, and third-party partners on system integrations.
  • Coordinate with Trimble support and consulting partners.
  • Participate in ERP governance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or ERP Analyst.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Trimble Viewpoint Vista.
  • Strong understanding of construction or engineering business processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the construction, heavy civil, or specialty contracting industry.
  • Experience with Crystal Reports, SQL, and Vista integrations (e.g., B2W, AccuBid).
  • Experience with ERP implementations or major upgrades.
  • Relevant certifications such as CPA, PMP, CBAP, or Trimble Vista certification.
