We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst (Intermediate) to act as a liaison between business units and IT teams. This role focuses on demand intake, business case development, and requirements documentation, supporting initiatives from ideation through project approval.
The ideal candidate will excel in stakeholder collaboration, process analysis, and translating business needs into actionable technical and functional requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams
- Facilitate intake of ideas and proposals and convert them into structured demand documentation
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
- Develop business cases, including ROI, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessments
- Conduct stakeholder meetings and workshops to refine project scope and objectives
- Perform process mapping and modeling (as-is and to-be)
- Assess feasibility, impact, and alignment with organizational strategy
- Prepare executive-level presentations and documentation for decision-making
- Maintain and update demand records within portfolio management tools (e.g., ServiceNow or similar)
- Collaborate with leadership and governance teams throughout the demand lifecycle
- Support prioritization of initiatives based on value, complexity, and resource considerations
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Communication, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business analysis and requirements documentation
- Strong experience in process mapping/modeling (Visio or similar tools)
- Experience with demand intake and portfolio management tools (ServiceNow or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience creating business cases (ROI, TCO, cost-benefit, risk analysis)
- Strong understanding of translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
- Exposure to Power BI for reporting and analytics
- Experience in public sector or enterprise environments
- Familiarity with governance and demand lifecycle processes
