Business Analyst - Product (hybrid)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Tandigm Health is seeking a Business Analyst – Product to play a key role in supporting our population health management services by translating payer and provider needs into clear requirements, validating data-driven outputs, and monitoring performance of insights and workflows.
This role combines analytical rigor with strong process and requirements skills to ensure Tandigm’s data products and services deliver accurate, timely, actionable insights. As our Business Analyst – Product, you will partner closely with Business, Product Management, Analytics, Finance/Actuarial, Data & Engineering teams to support backlog readiness, UAT/validation, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Data Product Support & Requirements:
- Support defining and documenting business requirements, workflow needs, and acceptance criteria for population health management services and insights.

Translate payor and provider business needs into clear, structured documentation (requirements, process flows, decision points, and definitions).

Assist with backlog readiness by refining user stories, acceptance criteria, and validation steps.

Maintain accurate product/service documentation, including workflow artifacts, change summaries, and operational readiness materials.
Data Validation, Quality & Governance
- Validate data outputs and insight logic to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and alignment to defined requirements.

Support testing and UAT activities for data pipelines, measure logic, dashboards, reporting outputs, and workflow changes.

Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify data quality issues, document root causes, and coordinate issue triage and resolution.

Partner with Data Governance to support consistent definitions, standards, and documentation practices.
Analysis, Measurement & Performance Monitoring

Define and track key service and data product metrics (e.g., data quality, adoption, workflow efficiency, timeliness, and business impact).

Conduct recurring analyses to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement; summarize findings for Product and stakeholder teams.

Support performance reporting and insight consumption measurement to inform roadmap prioritization and continuous improvement.

Assist with building and maintaining dashboards or reporting specifications in partnership with Analytics teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with Finance, Analytics & Actuarial to ensure analytic outputs and reporting requirements align to modeling and operational expectations.

Collaborate with Risk Accuracy, Quality, Clinical Operations, Network Enablement, and other teams to gather feedback and ensure workflows support operational adoption.

Support coordination with third-party vendors when applicable (e.g., data exchange issues, reporting inputs, or integration dependencies).

Communicate status, risks, and dependencies clearly to the team and cross-functional partners.
Required Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in analytics, business, healthcare management, information systems, engineering, or a related field required.

Master’s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1–3+ years of experience in an analyst, business analyst, product analyst, consulting, healthcare operations, or data services role.

Experience working with healthcare data, reporting, dashboards, or operational workflows preferred.

Experience in population health, value-based care, payor/provider operations, or related healthcare settings preferred.

Agile/Scrum experience or certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, workflow documentation, and acceptance criteria.

Strong analytical skills with experience validating data outputs and identifying quality issues.

Ability to communicate complex data, workflows, and findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Familiarity with healthcare data concepts (e.g., claims, encounters, risk scores, quality measures, attribution, etc.) preferred.

Proficiency working in Agile environments (e.g., Scrum or Kanban) and with common tracking tools (e.g., Aha, Azure DevOps) preferred.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, matrixed environment.

Strong collaboration and relationship building skills; ability to influence without authority.
