Role Overview
The
Business Analyst – Executive Office
plays a critical role in enabling strategic growth, operational efficiency and decision-making at the highest level. Acting as a trusted advisor to the
Executive
, the role requires deep analytical capability, strong business acumen and the ability to translate insights into impactful recommendations.

, bringing industry-specific understanding of operational workflows, systems and performance levers. This position operates at the intersection of strategy and execution, requiring cross-functional collaboration, structured problem-solving, and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze historical, current, and forward-looking business trends to support strategic planning and decision-making.

Identify business needs, recommend process enhancements, and drive operational improvements aligned with corporate objectives.

Partner with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements, define project scopes, and support successful delivery of initiatives.

Facilitate workshops, interviews, and cross-functional meetings to document and visualize business processes and requirements.

Assess existing processes, challenge inefficiencies, and propose actionable solutions to enhance productivity and performance.

Lead cross-functional projects from concept to execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with budget and expectations.

Develop detailed functional specifications for system enhancements or new applications.

Collaborate closely with IT, operations, finance, and commercial teams to support smooth transitions during process or system changes.

Define, track, and report KPIs to measure the effectiveness of newly implemented processes and solutions.

Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to support strategic initiatives and organizational priorities.

Prepare clear, concise, and insight-driven reports, dashboards, and presentations for CEO and Executive Leadership.

Contribute to testing, validation, and quality assurance activities for system or process changes.

Stay current on maritime industry trends, technologies, and best practices, working toward becoming an internal subject-matter expert (SME).

Coach and mentor junior and mid-level analysts, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Economics, or a related discipline.

CFA qualification
preferred
.

5–8 years of Business Analyst experience, within a
mainline shipping environment.

Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and deliver measurable business value.

Proven track record of managing cross-functional initiatives in complex organizational environments.
Competencies & Skills

Strong proficiency in business analysis frameworks and tools (e.g., BPMN).

Advanced skills in data analysis and visualization (Power BI, Tableau, Excel).

Deep understanding of mainline shipping operations, systems, and processes.

Professional certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is an advantage.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management capabilities.

Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and attention to detail.
