Business Compliance Analyst

Our client is a fast-growing global organization with a mission to become a worldwide leader in engineering and technical consulting. Their marketing team drives brand storytelling across diverse international markets, ensuring consistent, creative, and impactful communications. We are now looking for a Business Compliance Analyst to ensure the global adherence to the stated policies for sanctions compliance and business conflict avoidance. In this critical role, you will follow established guidelines to identify and escalate potential issues. This position is part of a team dedicated to Conflict and Sanction checking under the Global Sales Operations organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform conflict checks on all incoming jobs to ensure the ability to take in new jobs that are not in conflict with prior clients’ work;
  • Follow the sanction protocol and policy as outlined by the legal department;
  • Review incoming jobs for compliance and completeness;
  • Maintain a high level of daily throughput and open communication with key stakeholders;
  • Escalate to business leadership any potential conflicts and/or potential policy violations;
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes without compromising compliance risk;
  • Will be required to learn and access ERP and separate Sanctions software, as well as historical data residing in Excel formats.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years in a similar role in the professional services industry;
  • Prior experience with conflict checking and/or sanction compliance software in a professional services/legal environment;
  • Strong attention to detail, while engaging in daily, structured processes;
  • Demonstrated pride of work and company contribution;
  • Extraordinarily detail-oriented;
  • Curious and inquisitive approach to data evaluation;
  • Demonstrated ability to be solution-oriented, solve problems, and think out of the box;
  • Proven self-starter, highly motivated and entrepreneurial;
  • Strong analytical skills and a natural predisposition toward data-driven decision analysis;
  • Cross-functional, collaborative mindset in all that you do;
  • Personally committed to continuous learning and open to alternative perspectives;
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize & execute on assigned deliverables;
  • Advanced English proficiency.

Bonus points for

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field, such as Business/Management Information Systems, Data Science, or Legal preferred.
