About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Developer to identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities for FocusLab. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving company growth by building strong client relationships, expanding market presence, and aligning client needs with FocusLab’s product and service offerings.

You will work closely with leadership, product teams, and delivery teams to develop growth strategies, manage sales pipelines, and ensure long-term client success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities through market research, outreach, and networking
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Understand client needs and position FocusLab’s products and services as effective solutions
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches
  • Collaborate with product and delivery teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and handover
  • Track sales performance, maintain CRM records, and report on key metrics
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities
  • Contribute to business growth strategies and go-to-market planning

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–3+ years of professional experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage sales pipelines and close deals
  • Experience in B2B sales, preferably in technology or digital products
  • Ability to understand technical products and translate them into client value propositions
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience working with product-based or technology companies
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
  • Understanding of digital product development, MVPs, and SaaS models
  • Experience with partnerships, account management, or enterprise sales
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum or product-led growth models
