Producer (Business Developer) – Commercial Risk Solutions & Health & Solutions

The Producer is responsible for driving new business growth and expanding Aon Bahrain’s portfolio across both Commercial Risk Solutions and Health Solutions. The role focuses on business development, leveraging a strong personal network, and cross‑selling across Aon entities to increase market share, client penetration, and overall production. The successful candidate will act as an insurance generalist, able to identify and develop opportunities across a broad range of client needs.
What the day will look like
Business Development & Growth
-
Achieve business development and production targets assigned across Commercial Risk Solutions and Health Solutions.

Grow the company’s portfolio by:
-
Proactively originating new opportunities and converting leads through a strong external network.
-
Cross‑selling and up‑selling within Aon Bahrain, Aon GCC offices, and other Aon entities and solution lines.
-
Developing and implementing plans for continuous growth and improvement.
-
Improve and strengthen the company’s market share and client penetration in Bahrain and the wider GCC market.

Collection of premiums from clients and management of Statement of Accounts
Sales Planning & Performance Management
-
Coordinate sales forecasting and planning across relevant disciplines within the business.

Ensure set sales objectives are tracked and met in a timely manner.

Establish and execute clear action plans where sales or production targets are not met.

Monitor the accuracy and effectiveness of sales reports and other business intelligence used for decision‑making.
Process Improvement & Optimization

Proactively identify opportunities, target segments, and markets to enhance the sales process across both Commercial Risk Solutions and Health & Benefits.

Work closely with the business to review sales process quality and prioritize areas for improvement.

Help identify and resolve process-bottlenecks and inconsistencies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Collaborate with Client Directors and other stakeholders to streamline, improve, and optimize procedures and guidelines to achieve maximum efficiency.
Relationship Management & Collaboration

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, and market stakeholders, leveraging a robust personal and professional network.

Build and maintain strong internal relationships with key stakeholders across Aon Bahrain, Aon GCC, and other Aon entities.

Collaborate closely with colleagues across disciplines to promote and enhance cross‑selling and up‑selling activities.

Act as an integral member of Aon, collaborating effectively to deliver consistent client experience across Commercial Risk Solutions and Health Solutions.
Risk, Compliance & Market Understanding

Maintain a strong understanding of the Bahrain and GCC insurance markets, including competitors’ products, services, and positioning (“market intelligence”).

Operate as an insurance generalist, able to identify and coordinate solutions across a broad range of commercial and employee benefits needs.

Ensure that E&O (Errors & Omissions) exposures are identified and avoided by adhering to Aon policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Support the consistent implementation of company initiatives, sales tools, and best practices.
Reporting & Administration

Review and contribute to the preparation of client‑facing documents, including tenders and RfP responses across both solution lines.

Ensure that opportunities and pipeline activities are accurately recorded, maintained, and kept up to date on Aon Connect (and any other designated CRM/sales systems).
Skills and experience that will lead to success
-
Minimum of
5 years’ experience
in insurance broking and/or sales, preferably covering both Commercial Risk Solutions and Health Solutions.

Strong, established professional network in Bahrain (and ideally the wider GCC) with a proven ability to originate and convert new business opportunities.

Broad insurance knowledge and comfort operating as an
insurance generalist
across multiple product lines and client segments.

Demonstrated track record of achieving sales, revenue, and production targets.
-
Strong relationship‑building, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Solid understanding of the Bahrain insurance market; GCC regional experience is an advantage.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market intelligence and translate these into actions.

High level of integrity and commitment to compliance, quality, and client service standards.

Proficiency in English; Arabic preferred.
