Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Developer for AQUILA’s Saudi franchise to drive commercial growth for AQUILA services across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The role will engage with clients across Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding infrastructure ecosystem, primarily focused on winning new business and building long-term client relationships across engineering consultants, contractors, developers, and infrastructure asset owners.

The Business Developer will act as a key commercial interface of AQUILA in the region—a proactive networker and dealmaker who enjoys opening doors, building trust, and converting opportunities into projects. While the role is strongly commercial, the Business Developer will work closely with AQUILA’s technical teams, who provide advanced inspection and diagnostics services. The Business Developer’s success will come from effectively translating client needs into solutions and ensuring a strong pipeline of projects.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Market Expansion

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities across infrastructure, buildings, and industrial assets for newly constructed and established assets

· Develop relationships with engineering consultants, contractors, asset owners, and government stakeholders

· Actively promote AQUILA’s value proposition in asset diagnostics, structural health assessment, and digital inspection services

· Generate and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities and convert leads into signed contracts. Harness synergies with sister company BBRSTI in providing holistic solutions across asset life cycles.


Client Relationship Management

· Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers in the construction and infrastructure ecosystem

· Understand client needs and position AQUILA services as value-driven solutions enabling data-driven asset management through digital diagnostics and AI-enabled inspection workflows

· Coordinate closely with technical teams to develop proposals and scope project solutions

· Maintain long-term relationships with clients to support repeat business and strategic partnerships, in coordination with BBR STI and the broader AQUILA global network


Commercial Leadership

· Support preparation of proposals, quotations, and commercial negotiations

· Track and manage opportunities through the full sales cycle

· Represent AQUILA at industry meetings, technical events, and networking forums

· Contribute to the commercial strategy and market positioning of AQUILA in the franchise territory.


Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or related field

· 10+ years experience in business development or sales within construction, infrastructure, industrial services, or AEC software sectors

· Proven ability to build relationships and win projects, supported by strong communication and presentation skills

· Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and self-driven approach to market development

· Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into commercial value

· Fluent Arabic and professional English (written and spoken)

· Willingness to travel across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain


Preferred Experience

· Experience in engineering consulting, infrastructure inspection, construction services, or NDT-related sectors - in client-facing commercial roles within technical environments

· Familiarity with infrastructure asset management, inspection technologies, or structural diagnostics

· Adept at selling complex solutions (services + software), ideally with track record or value based pricing and recurring revenue models

· Digital affinity with ability to quickly adopt and promote best in class software and AI tools

· Established network within engineering firms, contractors, or infrastructure asset owners in Saudi Arabia
