Business Development and Marketing Manage

Position Summary

The Business Development & Marketing Manager will lead all marketing, branding, and social media efforts across NuRock’s portfolio of properties. This role will be crucial for enhancing our online reputation, turning around review ratings, creating compelling content, driving engagement, and supporting occupancy growth through strategic and creative marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Online Presence

  • Develop and execute an integrated social media strategy for NuRock and each of our property-level accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google, etc.).
  • Oversee reviews, responses, day to day posting, content creation (graphics, video, stories, reels), scheduling and community engagement.
  • Maintain and manage a content calendar that ensures consistent, brand-aligned storytelling across all properties.
  • Analyze metrics & trends across platforms to refine strategy, grow followers, and increase reach, engagement, and positive feedback.

Online Reputation Management

  • Monitor reviews & resident feedback on all platforms (Google Business, Yelp, Apartments.com, Facebook, etc.).
  • Respond promptly, professionally, and empathetically to positive & negative reviews.
  • Implement programs and processes with property teams to address recurring issues and improve overall resident satisfaction.
  • Set goals to raise average review ratings and track progress monthly.

Marketing Strategy & Content Generation

  • Produce compelling, on-brand content (photography, video, graphics, newsletters) that highlights property features, community events, resident stories, and amenities.
  • Plan and launch marketing campaigns to support lease-ups, renewals, and resident retention.
  • Work with leasing teams to produce promotional materials & digital assets.
  • Coordinate with third-party platforms and vendors for listing management and advertising as needed.

Business Development & Partnerships

  • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and competitive advantages.
  • Assist with proposals, presentations, & marketing materials for property acquisitions, developments, and new ventures.
  • Establish partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, or influencers to broaden NuRock’s visibility.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Define, monitor, and report key performance indicators: social media engagement, reach, growth, ad performance, review scores, occupancy metrics.
  • Provide monthly updates to leadership with insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Adjust strategies based on data to continually improve outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in marketing, business development, or similar, ideally in multifamily housing or real estate.
  • Proven success managing multiple social media accounts, improving online reputation, and producing creative content.
  • Strong skills in content creation tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing tools).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset: able to interpret data & metrics to drive strategy.
  • Self-motivated, organized, able to manage multiple properties’ marketing simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel among properties as needed.

Preferred Skills & Tools

  • Experience with multifamily property marketing platforms (Entrata, Yardi, RentCafe, Apartments.com, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SEO, Google My Business, paid digital advertising (Meta Ads, Google Ads).
  • Strong visual storytelling ability (photography, short videos, reels).
  • Skilled at graphic design / layout.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
