Business Development and Recruitment Specialist

Nurtur Aveda Institute / North Carolina Territory


Nurtur Holdings is seeking a relationship-driven Business Development and Recruitment Specialist to grow awareness of our programs and expand professional partnerships across North Carolina.

This territory-based role combines education outreach, community engagement, and business development. You will build relationships with high schools, career counselors, salons, and spa partners while helping prospective students explore careers in the beauty and wellness industry. You will also support the expansion of the Sylton Observ technology partnerships throughout the region.


This position requires travel throughout North Carolina and close collaboration with our Admissions teams in Chapel Hill and Wilmington.

Responsibilities
:

The Business Development and Recruitment Specialist must exhibit certain characteristics and perform specific duties during their daily or weekly routine. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Uphold the Nurtur Core Values and Behaviors and Aveda Success Factors.
  • Meet and exceed performance goals established by the Director of Business Operations.
  • Perform duties as assigned and/or required to meet business needs.
  • Abide by all Nurtur policies and procedures as outlined in the Team Member Handbook and Code of Conduct.
  • High School Recruitment & Student Outreach
    • Develop and manage high school recruitment strategies to increase awareness of career opportunities in the beauty industry.
    • Build relationships with guidance counselors, career coordinators, and educators across your territory.
    • Conduct career presentations, classroom visits, and participate in college and career fairs to generate prospective student leads.
    • Provide guidance to prospective students on program options, admissions steps, and career pathways.
    • Partner with Admissions and Financial Aid teams to help prospective students successfully move through the enrollment process.
  • Business Development & Industry Partnerships
    • Identify and onboard Med Spas, Day Spas, and skin-led businesses across North Carolina.
    • Prospect and develop relationships with businesses interested in Sylton Observ technology.
    • Partner with owners and teams to support growth throughout education, events, and collaborative marketing initiatives.
    • Strengthen partnerships that support both business growth and student career placement opportunities.
  • Territory Management & Collaboration
    • Manage and track outreach activities, leads, and partnerships within the CRM system.
    • Collaborate with Admissions, Education, Marketing, and Leadership teams to align recruitment and partnership strategies.
    • Monitor territory performance and identify opportunities for market growth.


Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to groups and representing the organization at events.
  • Ability to manage a territory and work independently.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
  • Passion for education, career development, or the beauty and wellness industry.
  • Admissions, recruiting, territory sales, or business development experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with high schools, career programs, or education partnerships is preferred.
  • Experience in the beauty, spa, or wellness industry is a plus.
  • CRM experience is preferred.

Travel Requirements:

The team member in this position must be able to travel locally to events and for out-of-state training as necessary.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Sit at a desk with a computer for up to eight (8) hours per day.
  • Use hands to handle objects and reach with hands and arms.
  • Walk, sit, stand, balance, stoop, speak, and hear.
  • See a computer screen and read paper and electronic documents.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds.
  • Tolerate a minimal to moderate noise level typical of a corporate office setting.
