Business Development Associate

Ascendo Resources is seeking a proactive and analytical Business Development Associate to join a fast-growing distributor company. The primary objective of this position is to identify new opportunities with manufacturers and ensure seamless implementation with our global sales team through our supply chain model. This role will play a key part in driving market growth by researching, evaluating, and developing relationships with manufacturing partners that align with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and evaluate potential manufacturing partners to expand our global network and support market growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with the sales and supply chain teams to ensure smooth implementation of new product and service offerings.
• Conduct detailed market and product research to uncover new business opportunities and trends.
• Develop and present product and opportunity analyses, including presentations and recommendations for the sales team.
• Review monthly product performance metrics and provide actionable insights for improvement.
• Support the creation of business cases and economic models to quantify manufacturer capabilities and potential value.
• Assist in the development and communication of product offerings and proposals to clients.
• Maintain ongoing communication with existing and prospective manufacturing partners to strengthen business relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in business development, supply chain, or a related analytical or partner-facing role.
• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to identify trends and opportunities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) or similar business software tools.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, global environment.
