Business Development Associate

Description:
  • Prospect and develop new client relationships across importers and exporters
  • Build and grow your own book of business through outreach, networking, and referrals
  • Promote and present ClearFreight’s full range of services
  • Prepare competitive quotes and proposals tailored to each client’s needs
  • Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to deliver seamless onboarding and support for new clients
  • Track activity, pipeline, and performance metrics using HubSpot
  • Work toward individual and team revenue goals with ongoing coaching from leadership
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of sales experience and/or 3 years in account management
  • Basic understanding of freight forwarding, ocean and air, import/export, customs brokerage
  • Strong ability to assess customer needs and present tailored, innovative solutions
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, planning, and negotiation skills, driven by a customer-first mindset
  • Highly motivated, goal oriented and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership for results
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint; Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Fluency in additional languages beyond English is a plus
  • Demonstrates a strong drive to grow, continuously seeking opportunities to learn, improve, and take on new challenges
