Job Title: Upwork Bidder – Software Development Projects

Location: Remote / Lahore, Pakistan
Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Experience Level: 1–3 years (Upwork experience preferred)

Job Responsibilities

  • Project Bidding & Proposal Writing
  • Search, identify, and bid on relevant projects on Upwork (and other freelancing platforms if required) related to software development, web apps, mobile apps, and QA services.
  • Craft customized, high-converting proposals tailored to each client’s requirements.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the company’s services and capabilities to effectively communicate value propositions.
  • Client Communication
  • Initiate and maintain professional communication with clients to clarify project scopes and expectations.
  • Schedule meetings, follow up on proposals, and convert potential leads into closed deals.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to ensure the accuracy of project estimates and timelines.
  • Market Research
  • Keep track of trending technologies and project types on Upwork to target profitable niches.
  • Analyze competitors’ profiles and bidding strategies to improve success rates.
  • Reporting & Coordination
  • Maintain records of proposals, clients, and closed deals in spreadsheets or CRM tools.
  • Report daily/weekly bidding performance to the Business Development Manager or CEO.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Upwork bidding or business development within the IT/software industry.
  • Understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), web technologies, mobile app development, and QA/testing services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to understand client requirements and write clear, concise, and compelling proposals.
  • Familiarity with tools like HubSpot CRM, Google Sheets, and Slack (preferred).
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with other platforms such as Freelancer, Fiverr, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Basic technical knowledge of front-end/back-end frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, Python, Flutter, etc.).
  • Ability to create basic project cost estimates and timelines with input from developers.
