Business Development Executive

Core Responsibilities1. Lead Generation & Market Research

  • Identify Opportunities: Scan the market to identify prospective clients, new market segments, and industry trends.
  • Outreach: Proactively reach out to leads via cold calling, email campaigns, and social networking (e.g., LinkedIn).
  • Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activities to spot gaps in the market and adjust growth strategies. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

2. Client Acquisition & Sales

  • Pitching: Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals, presentations, and product/service pitches.
  • Negotiation: Handle pricing discussions, contract terms, and close sales deals to meet revenue targets.
  • Networking: Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to build industry connections. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

3. Relationship Management

  • Onboarding: Assist with the seamless onboarding of newly acquired clients.
  • Retention: Foster long-term, meaningful relationships with existing clients to encourage upselling, cross-selling, and client retention. [1, 2]

4. Internal Collaboration & Reporting

  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to align on product positioning and deliver customer feedback.
  • KPI Tracking: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and utilize CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to update lead statuses and prepare pipeline reports. [1, 2, 3]
